JOIN THE FRIENDS OF THE MILTON CEMETERY

The Friends of the Milton Cemetery, Inc., a 501 © 3 tax exempt charitable organization was formed by a group of Milton citizens to help maintain and improve our historic garden cemetery. In these difficult economic times, the cemetery needs your assistance for much needed renovations to preserve and enhance its beauty and its mission. Many of our beautiful trees, such as the sugar maples, hemlocks and dogwoods are in need of replacement, the historic receiving tomb is badly in need of restoration, signage needs to be improved among other needed improvements. A major campaign to raise funds for a Veterans Memorial, a stainless steel monument to Milton veterans in the new Garden of Honor is underway. Any veteran from Milton or who is buried in Milton Cemetery can have their name memorialized in an inscription on the monument or the granite posts which will surround it. The cost per veteran’s name is $350.

Using the following language you can make a gift of cash, securities, or other assets in your will:

"I hereby bequeath the sum of __ dollars or __% of my estate (or description of other securities or property) to the Milton Cemetery, a federally tax-exempt Massachusetts charitable trust with offices at 211 Centre street, Milton, MA 02186."
